We pour our heart into every recipe we select and passionately produce our bakery goods using only traditional Scandinavian baking techniques. Great coffee comes along as a graceful compliment.
OUR TECHNIQUE
Our bakery goods owe their soft texture to extended leavening processes and traditional Scandinavian baking techniques. Before the 1800’s, written bakery recipes were unusual. Baking skills were considered elementary knowledge in every household in the Scandinavian countries and were passed down from one generation to another. Runar Einarsrud, our founding father, inherited these skills from his own mother and father and now passes this legacy down through the Scandinavian Bakery and Coffee House.
OUR HISTORY
Though the Scandinavian Bakery and Coffee House was founded in 2014, the brand’s concept was seeded decades ago in Norway in the family home of Runar Einarsrud, our brand’s founding father. As a child, Runar cultivated a passion for the food and hospitality industries while growing up with a mother as a hotel operator and a father as a baker.
